The time to act is now, so that our grandchildren may also walk in this place of beauty.
More than 300 acres of designated parkway still need to be obtained to protect its watershed and thus insure the health of this fragile place.
Won't you become a part of this legacy and help with your time and/or tax-deductible donations?

Earth Week Is Coming!

I know it seems unlikely right now, but spring is almost here. We have lots of fun activities planned for Earth Week 2008.

We will once again be holding a clean-up at Baird Creek from 9:00 to Noon at Triangle Hill on April 26th. There will also be a demonstration on Rain Gardens at Christa Mc Auliffe Park from 9:00-11:00

There will also be a clean-up at Willow Creek Clean-Up. Join Marty Jacobson in this first-ever clean up of the parkway! Meet at the NEW Lutheran cul de sac at 8:45am, 1311 S. Robinson Avenue, Green Bay

Baird Creek Earth Fest

Please join us on Saturday April 26th for our annual Earth Fest.

We have a matching grant that will donate $10 to the BCPF for every volunteer! We hope to sign up 200 volunteers.

The fun starts at 9 am at Triangle Hill. Volunteers will tackle trash clean-up and invasive plant removal throughout the parkway, and will plant a rain garden at Christa McAuliffe Park.

There will be lunch at the Triabngle Hill Chalet at Noon and Rain Barrel and Composting Demonstrations from 1-3 at Triangle Hill. BCPF board members and UwGB faculty will be leading hikes at 1 pm. Students from Luxemburg/Casco Science Club will be netting fish and aquatic insects in the afternoon.

The city of Green Bay is also planning a Rain garden demonstration at Christa McAuliffe Park.

We are looking for team leaders to help lead clean-up crews and invasive plant removal. Contact Steve at 920-432-4739.
